Covid-19 Update – March 2021

1 self contained cottage & two self contained  rooms are open for essential workers only – in line with the Scottish Government regulations.

We are only offering accommodation in the 2 fully self-contained annex rooms and the Cottage with a minimum stay of 3 nights.  All these units can be let on a self contained basis with individual main door access, private washroom facilities and a private kitchen area. No shared facilities.

For bookings until restrictions are lifted we can only accept reservations from those deemed ‘essential workers’ requiring accommodation for work. Please e-mail us for details as online booking is switched off.

We can’t accept general reservations for people from Scotland, or from folk elsewhere in the UK or abroad.

From June  availability is now listed online for the self contained rooms & huts. The situation may change by then so please check you are able to travel. Please use the booking calendar above to check availability and make a reservation. Note the cottages are listed separately to the rooms and have a 7 night minimum stay.  Apart from a £20 booking fee your reservation can be cancelled with no charge if changes to your plans are forced by Covid-19 related issues (check the T&C’s).  Rates shown include VAT at 5%.

All bookings to a room or Cottage must for members of just one household, or extended household as defined by Scottish Government – unless & until the rules change.

Enhanced cleaning systems are in operation to keep staff & guests safe – in line with the government approved ASSC guidelines.

We are waiting for detailed guidance from the Scottish Government of the requirements for opening the main Lodge with Hostel accommodation.  It seems increasingly likely restrictions will remain in place through the summer. The Lodge may be available on an exclusive use only basis for groups & families.

Situated at the east end of Loch Assynt – surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery of Assynt in the Northern Highlands  – Inchnadamph makes an excellent base from which to stay a while and explore this wonderful area.  Mountains, wildlife, fishing and geology are on our doorstep – and the spectacular beaches and cliffs of the coastline are just half an hour away.

We have a choice of accommodation options – our self catering cottages are let by the week, while the various other rooms  and huts are let per night.  All our availability is detailed on the online booking pages – but please e-mail us if you can’t find your preferred accommodation.

Accommodation is available in a variety of styles. In the main Lodge we offer either shared Hostel dormitories or private Twin, Double & Family rooms. Our 4 Hostel rooms sleep up to 28 people in total, and the 8 private rooms can accommodate a further 16 to 18 – so our total capacity is about 45 people in the main Lodge. Groups welcome.

All guests can use our self-catering kitchen to prepare packed lunches & evening meals – avoiding the high cost of eating out for every meal (although we can suggest great places to eat nearby at Kylesku or Lochinver)

The Lodge was awarded a ‘tick’ in the current ‘Scotland the Best‘ guidebook – one of only a few rural hostels in Scotland to gain the coveted ‘one of the best of its kind in Scotland’ accolade.

Adjacent to the Lodge is the Annex – located in a former steading building there are 3 en-suite rooms (2 family rooms and a double). These ground floor rooms are all equipped to a high standard and have en-suite showerooms. The rooms are equipped with TV’s and have tea & coffee making facilities in or adjacent to the room.

Upstairs in ther managers house there are a further 2 en-suite family rooms – these also have en-suite washrooms.

We also have two self-catering Cottages that are available on a weekly or sometimes shorter basis. And new in 2019 we have a Shepherd’s Hut – if you wish to stay somewhere different..

The variety of accommodation means we can satisfy most requirements – including  ground floor bedroom suitable for wheelchair access – and our competative rates range from just £20 to about £80 per night. Detailed information on all our facilities may be found on this site – but if you have any queries or wish to make an enquiry please just contact us!
